MY TEACHER & BANK BALANCE

My teacher does not have bank balance.

One day my teacher was travelling to Japan. I asked him if he had any insurance because if he falls sick he will have to spend huge amount. He laughingly said god is my insurance.

It hit me a lot. From that I noticed a new financial pattern which was other worldly. He never has bank account, never bothered take insurance or pay premium or even for that matter save money.

When he became a full time sadhu, someone gave him Rs. 20,000. He spent every pie of it for Himalayan sadhu by feeding them rasa malai.

Once he did not have money. He asked me for money. I told him that I will get the money next day. I went to him and handed over the money. He refused to take saying that a Japanese lady gave money of Rs 20,000 for him.

I learnt from him no matter what the situation was that one should trust god and not bank balance.

He treated poor and rich in the same manner. He used to say that sadhus should have sama dristi.

He used share what he had. If he had money he will spent till the last. If he did not have then it means he never have to spent.

People have given him everything required for his sadhana. He had stayed in all kinds of places without money like ruch mahadev rishikesh etc.

He taught me martial arts freely even though his style demanded lot of money. He shared his knowledge very easily with people. He used to say “what flows through me is what you can hold on”.

Of course suddenly he will become demanding with some people because he wanted to break their stinginess and insensitiveness to giving and receiving. Many people use the niceness of sadhu. When he feels energy imbalance he will immediately point it out.

In the world filled with material success and fear of money, I learned a lot by being with him. One of my student reminded me that he had learnt a lot by living with me. He also requested me to publish which will eye opener for many people.
