MEIDTATING LIKE A SAINT

Many people ask me why they do not meditate like the great saints. Very simple. We cannot take that level of god’s energy. Our stamina for assimilation and
digestion of divine energy is very less. So we are not given sadhana at that level. We are given sadhana level to our level where we can match. Some people choose the sadhana lower in status and build it up slowly. Some choose higher level than the energy and adjust accordingly.

Secondly there are various level of saints. Various saints work for various causes. Some work in yoga, some in tantra, some with foreigners, and some with local area or people. We can divide it into people, places and area of work. Greater the saint lesser he works with the mass. Sorry for using the masculine gender. For example Ramakrishna paramahamasa had 12 disciples. Jesus has 12 disciples and babaji had lesser number of disciples. As one goes down to the masses one can work in particular area and level. One can not work in many areas. The speed of mass evolution is very slow. The speed of individual is much faster. It is like learning tennis. As you start you will learn in mass and then go on for the invidual coach.

When a great teacher does sadhana, 4 levels of disciples will appear. The first ones will be propagators plus sadhakas. This is the lucky group where the
Evolution will be very fast. They will have increased divine energy and can travel in the ladder of evolution very fast. The first level will have interaction on day to day basis with the teacher.
The second level will be those who have seen the guru at a distant and heard of him of a lot. They will work in area like developing office, collecting money printing, developing the teaching in to theory and structure. The 4th level will be marketing, public relations and the managers of the place will come in full force.

Therefore Ramakrishna did the sadhana and Vivekananda did the first built up. Then the first president did lot of work. 3rd and 4th level disciples establish the ramakrishna mutt every were. One can see the same level in mahaavatra babaji and his trusted student lahiri mahaysa and then other disciples who followed him.

Over the period of time there can three phases for these lineages. Growth phase, maintenance phase and deterioration phase with all these groups. One can check the top saints of the group whether they do sadhana or play politcis which will give clear ideas. Normally growth phase will for 50 years or for first 3 generations. The deterioration phase happens where most time will be spent on boasting and playing politics. More time will be spent on non essential than essentials. The work of the lineage started by a saint can be completed after several years. For example the work of guru padmasambhava was completed by gamopa. The great work of adi shankara is still carried on.

All the tradition helps people to evolve. A religion is like company or can be called multinational company which is connected to many many life time. Many people evolve and slowly go beyond religion and techniques. They can become teachers and masters in their own right.

These days we are heading into humanity which will have one religion. That is why many people experience variety of religion due to work. You can see in sai baba temples, pictures of Jesus, mosque and Guru nanak. Many of the modern teachers can mix yoga with advitha, tantra with traditions etc.
