Many people want to do long term sadhana. But there are problems in the sadhana Focus – many people lose their focus fast. They will do for some day and then they will give up. In my spiritual journey I have seen many of my friends who started along with me are not with me. They got lost due to family pressure, work pressure, money pressure etc Sacrifice hard work and ability to be true to oneself – these are three main components for sadhana. If we want spiritual life in initial years we need to give some world ways. Later one can integrate it. The letting go process can be painful. Secondly, hard work. Many people listen to discourse and do not practice. Edison words “genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration” is true in spiritual sadhana Many people always down value other people’s abilities, skill and knowledge in there sadhana. This is because they are not true to themselves. Truth will bring lot of churning, change and humility in personal life. I have seen many pranic healers claiming to be clairvoyant even with out basic skills. Spiritual appetite – I think it is ego nourishing if people start to fall at our feet. Everyone wants to be a guru or spiritual advisor, guide and counsel others. If one takes this role seriously then one will be busily finding faults on others or searching disciples. One will not have time to practice. I have a rule in sadhana- practice is 90% of time teaching is 10% of the time Same goes for theory. Theory is 30% and practice is 70%. Knowing is not wisdom or learning does not become make you skillful. Many advithains forget this simple truth. They go on reading without even thinking of practice Sadhana will have up swing and down swing-every day and one needs regular routines to be executed. Whether one is sick or some other work is there this routine has to be executed. Other wise 90% of days must be spent in doing spiritual practice. One needs consistency and discipline. I realized many times I need to pray to complete my spiritual routines. In my younger days I thought that I can do sadhna easily. But as age passed by I realize it is tougher without god’s grace and guru grace Intellectual clarity – one needs to see the essence from form. One needs clarity in seeing a techniques and superstitions. A sound analytical mind combined with intuition is a good asset in spiritual world. Changes – one will change in one’s own attitude, behavior, conduct, people, place etc., some time we have let go of our old friendship because we cannot relate with them or give up financial stability to grow in sadhana. These are natural changes which one needs to accept and grow. I think many people want to leave their guru and sadhana without wanting to change themselves. Financial instability part of the sadhana. There is a friend of mine who has saved Rs.20 lakhs by working in a foreign country to do sadhana. When one is good sadhaka god will take care. This kind of excessive relying on money will make you a spiritual muff. One need not get prepared money wise. One will be taken care. “Seek thee the kingdom of heaven and all else shall be added on to thee”. When sincerity and clarity is there, then heavens will take care, Loving kindness - one of my friend said “I dislike my relatives. I do not like to see them”. This kind of spiritual arrogance will lead to problems in sadhana, Instead of using loving kindness to evolve. Spiritual elitism is a wonderful ego tool. God can become our escape root, like drink and drugs are use to escape life. Guru, ashram and sadhana can be used to avoid the world. With out loving kindness and caring for people in balance one cannot evolve. By conduct growth one will become fear less yet loving, use words of truth but in a kind manner with out hurting. This kind of balance one will get very easily. Some sadhakas will use manipulation and lies to cover up their conduct level. One has to be sincere in the way one lives. Words, attitudes and action will be checked. Without being a good man one cannot be god man. With out loving people one cannot love god. If god is on one side then other side is human being. The rules of spirituality change- I use to fantasize living in caves and Himalayas. Slowly I realized I have grown up lot in the place where I live. These kinds of spiritual fantasy can be dangerous. Some people do not grow in caves. Rather they become spiritual muffs. Some people grow in caves. One needs to be very true to oneself. I think living among people will make spiritual growth very fast. This is my understanding which is why some of the greatest modern master lived amidst people. One own siddies and psychic ability will grow very fast. One needs to learn to handles it. Denying one has siddies is useless. God equips us for his work. One can see how one’s own spiritual ability will be used by divine beings. Our Customised Products
